When I took a break from work recently, it was a vacation from spreadsheets for me.

That's because in my job as a Commissions Analyst Consultant, I work with a lot of spreadsheets...

Spreadsheets with HR information.

Spreadsheets with sales targets and commission rates.

Spreadsheets with order data.

Spreadsheets with commission calculations.

Spreadsheets with exchange rates.

Spreadsheets with zip codes.

What do you do for a living?

And when you take a break, what is your leisure time a vacation from?

We automatically associate the word "vacation"with not doing the work we normally do.

But a vacation could also mean a vacation from having to put up with stuff from the people in our life.
