And though this mission may have nothing to do
With money, fame, status, or the goals we pursued before
We find ourselves propelled to give ourselves fully to it
To go as far as we can and do even more.

And even when it seems we have gone as far as we should
And even when it seems we have done enough
We find a way to keep our mission and our vision going
Because when it comes to purpose, something in us knows to never give up.

For each of us the mission is unique
The world has many injustices and many causes of sorrow and pain
Once purpose starts driving us, we never stop going
To prevent future tragedies and injustices and bring about change.

Yes, we become new people once purpose takes over
We have a new and larger sense of responsibility
