Trying not to yawn, you listen to different people bleating

All the while, thinking of the Chick-fil-A sandwich on your desk, you could be eating.

Lunchtime comes, and you eat your sandwich, or go out and eat

If you are shy, introverted, busy, or in the packed lunch category, you don't leave your seat

Bathroom breaks may be the only time you stretch your feet

It's when you think, if I could be invisible, it would be neat.

Afternoons are for glancing at the clock, time and again

If it's going slow, resisting the desire to exclaim

That heavy lunch, and being up so late last night, you now regret

But you keep sitting in your chair,  because oh, glorious, it's several hours till the end of the day, yet.
